My first ever project at RISD (Summer Study) and I got acquainted with the concept of a repeat pattern in surface design. We were supposed to draw inspiration from the RISD museum and incorporate it into our design. My eyes caught onto a beautiful printed cloth piece which had a Palampore print & I chose it to serve as the key element for my design. The following stages depict how I arrived at getting to my end product.
